Ten Ten Theatre presents “This is my body” a play about human trafficking.
There are around 2.5 million people trafficked across borders every year. (To put it in a topical context, that’s 1/2 a million shy of the entire population of Scotland).
Around 80% of these are women. Approximately 50% are minors.
Many are used for some form of sex trade, a third are used for other forms of forced labour. The statistics make shameful reading.
On Wednesday 8th October 2014 you are invited to come and find out more about the scale and effects of this problem. Take advantage of the opportunity to see the play, “This is my body” written by Martin O’Brien and directed by Paul Jepson of TenTen theatre company at Sacred Heart Church.

This is the story of a young girl, told in her own words, who is groomed and trafficked to the UK where she is forced into giving her body for the love of her child, her family and the man she mistakenly believes loves her in return. It’s powerful and affecting drama giving an at times harrowing but un-missable insight into the plight of so many, not only in the wider world, but here on our UK streets. It’s a must see. And it’s on your doorstep.
