Welcome to Sacred Heart Choir. We sing weekly at the 11.15 am Sunday Mass. Twice monthly and on special days we sing parts of the Mass in Latin, along with a motet or chant. Why not join us? It’s a free and easy way to build music and language skills. Speak to John & Binny on 07940 167274 or binnyandjohn@btinternet.com .
Song has been linked with worship since ancient times – and gladdens the heart. We aim to give everyone a chance to take part in sacred song by offering a variety of tuneful Mass music and well-known hymns. Many of us have mixed experiences of singing as we grow up. If you feel that you are still just beginning to find and control your voice, try joining in with the simple chants we use for psalms and acclamations.
You can also listen reflectively to choral pieces, or just let them fade behind prayer. We are all amateurs, so please be prepared for strange sounds and messy moments!
There is evidence that our newborn parish had already formed a choir by 1884. Most of our singing remains fully acoustic, accompanied by the traditional pipe organ built into the Choir Loft by Henry Morgan and Son of Wimbledon.

We love to apply our music to support good causes, whether in care and healing, at special events or out on the streets with a collecting tin. If you think we could help, please have a listen first and then feel free to get in touch.
